Nathan Ulrich is the president and founder of Technique
Applied Science. From 1990 to 1994, he was a scientist in the
Deep Submergence Laboratory at Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution
(WHOI), where he designed deep-sea underwater vehicles and equipment.
He has been a consultant to industry since 1987. Dr. Ulrich received
his BSE (1987), MSE (1988), and PhD (1990) in Mechanical Engineering
and Applied Mechanics from the University of Pennsylvania. He
is the inventor on several US patents and has over 15 scientific
and technical publications in the area of robotics and mechanical
design.
Gregory Long is a senior engineer at Technique. From
1990 to 1996, he was Assistant Professor of Mechanical and Aerospace
Engineering at the University of California, Irvine. He is a
world expert in robot kinematics and has published over 25 conference
and journal articles in the areas of robotics and manufacturing.
Dr. Long received his BS degree in Chemical Engineering from
Stanford University (1985), and his MSE (1987) and PhD (1990)
in Mechanical Engineering and Applied Mechanics from the University
of Pennsylvania.
Christophe Rehault is Manager of Composite Fabrication.
He received his bachelor's degree in Business and Government
Management from the Brest University Institute of Technology
(France) in 1993. He has extensive hands-on experience with advanced
composite materials.
Jeff Gilman is Manager of Mechanical Fabrication. His
responsibilities include all welded, machined, and fabricated
parts and assemblies at Technique. He is expert with both computer-controlled
and manual machine tools.
